Pete Haggseth worked in Washington and started a veterans group called Vets for Freedom. He was doing advocacy work for like the power grid when he got an opportunity to do some radio with Buffalo's weather traffic guy. "I could control my narrative I you didn't know what I look like you just heard it every day but yet I controlled what you knew about me" Pete said of his old unit: "My old life was the thing that I'm burying in a time capsule"
