Caroling in Medieval Times

King Henry II's favourite jester was known as Roland the Farther. His act was that he did one jump, one whistle and one fart every Christmas. Caroling has almost nothing to do with singing from a medieval perspective. It's more like you go again door to door doing some dancing. Maybe talking the window to man booze and dance back out again. There's a lot more petty crime involved in the medieval Christmas tradition.
