The Early Season Fruits Can Be Less Prone to Invasive Insects

Spotted wing drosophila is an invasive fruit fly that comes in during the later part of the season. The early season fruits don't have any issue with spotted wing drosphila at all, SWD. Whereas the later fruits, SWD can be a pretty serious problem for some growers. A lot of small fruit operations will also grow things like pumpkins that they can then sell in the fall or crescent themums are really popular in this region.
