The History of Congress' Oversight of the Federal Courts

In 1802, Congress made the Supreme Court's entire term disappear. There are two examples where Congress literally takes seats away from the Supreme Court. In 1866, for the first gosh, 121 years that the court exists, Congress makes the justices go ride circuit. And actually in the midst of working on a newsletter post where I'm recounting some of these examples.
