Is the Space for Free Speech on the Left Getting Narrower in Recent Years?

Do you think the space for free speech on the left has become narrower in recent years? I mean, I think about the Guardian and its sister, babe. Some resignations of high profile columnist who no longer think they can express themselves freely on certain subjects. But when I think of pro immigrant, pro Corbin, pro union articles in the mail or the telegraph or the times,. No, I don't see the Guardian as being, you know, or the left in general as being particularly mendacious in that regard.
