All things being equal, if you're getting money from a taxi owner's campaign money, and they're employing lobiists who are helpful to you politically, you're just saying, what is best for my relection? And taxis that was the politically logical thing to do. It worked because fundamental politicians do whatever they think will help them most or hurt them least in the next election.
