What Is Unclean?
In 1963, Christor Stendall published what became known as the new perspective on Paul. He argued that traditional Lutheranism was guilty of reading Pietism into the Reformation. In 1977, EP Fort Sanders published a volume entitled Paul and Palestinian Judaism. And Michael Kruger wrote an early essay in NPP called Paul and the conscience of the West.
In this episode, Dr. Clark continues the Heidelcast series on Romans, beginning with a look at the "New Perspective on Paul" (NPP) and the question of Jews and Gentiles in the early church. Dr. Clark breaks down how the NPP affects Reformed theology and how to consider it critically, with critiques from Michael Horton and Charles E. Hill.
