What Are Enzyme Linked Receptors?
The next type of receptor that I'm going to talk about a bit more briefly are enzyme linked receptors. An enzyme linked receptor is a trans membrane receptor where the binding of the signal or the ligand is sometimes called causes enzymatic activity on the intracellular side. So basically it activates an enzyme. Kinase is a particularly common type of protein that will activate things. There are others as well I'm just going to go through a few of them but the other one that I'mGoing to talk about are intracellular receptors. Most of these receptors are on the surface of the cell membrane. But there are some that exist actually inside the cell and you might ask well what's
