The Difference Between Interpretable and Not-Interpretable Models

Even these so-called intrinsically interpretable models are only interpretable up to a certain dimensionality. Same can be said of decision trees. Like anybody who's looked at a decision tree that's come from real data, you're going to find out it's not interpretable. And I'm glad you mentioned sort of the old school linear models as well as dimensionality in the thread because you make a very good point there.
