If you're formulating your own products, why not try putting a night cream in it? Not many people like a serum with an AHA followed by an anhydrous oil on top. And that way you don't have to worry about anything changing since oils don't have a pH and they don't contribute to a pH shift. So you could go a lot of different ways. That's actually the fun part of making your own products and experimenting is seeing what you like or if you're making products for other people, seeing what other people like.
