Don't Just Talk to Your Product Leader
A lot of cos who haven't gone through that career path where project management was a big part of it, there is just a more natural fit for many to go talk to their chief product officer or v p of product. But if you want as much information as a s o as possible, have the engineering leader in the room too. Then you're going tostart hearing directly the concerns or the challenges, or the various things that they have to go through in the thought process. This is where engineering starts to differ based upon how you have constructed the leadership of the organization.
