People think they lose more sodium than they actually do. Some classic examples are a congestive heart failure, serosis and nephrotic andrum. The opposite of incipitus is the cyndrome of inappropriate a d h cato. You're holding on to too much water, and that then dilutes out the sodium. So you're still high ponetremic, but your body fluids about what it normally should be.
