Congress has passed a concurrent resolution that would invoke the war powers act. But because of the way this is all developed, a simple majority can't be enough to override trump's veto. The bipartisan political establishment has spent the last few decades avicerating congress's power to declare war. 'I have no faith that the country can’t once again be sort of manoeuvred into a position where war seems like the only reasonable way to approach the situation,' he says.
