There's a big question about whether the talban will allow alcida to do international terrorist attacks. Pulling up afghanistan is unquestionably a win or the broader geatas cause they said, hey, we beat the soviet union. And now, after 20 years of fighting, we beating the american empire. We have to live with some risk. I personally think it's something that good counterterrorism can manage, but it's not the sort of thing we can wish away.
The attack outside the Kabul airport on Thursday was perpetrated by an extremist group that doesn't think the Taliban is extreme enough.
