The Power of Community
I grew up in this working-class neighborhood in Jeff City, Missouri. Even though we were all broke, it was a beautiful place. I joined the Marine Corps did 13 years deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan because this country and my community gave me everything. And that old neighborhood just completely fall apart because the politicians in Missouri abandoned every day like us. Like the first house I lived in there is an empty lot now. People made decisions based on their campaign donors who strip communities for parts they don't even know about. It's just, I think it's wrong some of us took a stand against it.
