I was one of the few prosecutors in the United States to actually convict somebody of incitement, which is the federal crime of soliciting crimes of violence. So at the time of the impeachment article, I thought it was a real mistake. If they had done a thorough investigation and then accurately charged him with the plethora of things that were impeachable offenses from election day forward, that would have been a very strong impeachment case. But what he has done here is crashed into a structural part of the system. And the fact that he doesn't have an easy charge available for this obviously despicable conduct is not an accident.
