Is Big Tech an Existential Threat?

Anne Marie Slaughter says she got rid of Barry Lynn not because of a funding conflict of interest, but because he was a difficult employee. But the timing of Lynn's firing certainly gave the appearance that Google and or Eric Schmidt had asked Slaughter to get rid of his open markets institute. New America Foundation says all its major funders are listed on its website; only 12% comes from corporations.
