Koran

The gap between the koran and those first written sources is both a fairly long one. The events that transpired in between are some of the most world changing events in that part of the world. So does it contain historical information that we can use? And what do we know about the cron as a text to day that perhaps wasn't clear, or that we didn't know even a generation ago? I think that many christians, if they haven't read it, sort of misunderstand it to be something like a moslem version of the new testament. It's not, as said, it's much closer to the psalms.
