India does not have a law that criminalizes this type of fraud. The financial transaction happens outside the country and cops can't march into a center and preemptively raid it. Even if Indian cops do reach out, people from abroad simply can't trust whether they're being scammed again. But maybe things are finally looking up as the US is deadly serious about catching these individuals.
