The caffeine in coffee is able to defend our bodies against age related inflammation. Regularly drinking coffee has been shown to help prevent cognitive decline and reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. A meta analysis of seven studies titled coffee and caffeine consumption and depression found that each cup of coffee people consume per day was linked to an 8% lower risk of depression.
