Michael in melbourne, australia says he has a significant struggle with trust. He finds it difficult to speak of god as a father because of their own experience having an abusive father. Tom wright: I have met this sort situation pastorally before. Andd it's very, very sad. But the embrace of god doesn't mean that they will all immediately become happy, contented, western style christians. A, no, it just doesn't work like that. The psalms are there for us to inhabit, and they give us a place to go and live spiritually emotionally when we are in these different moods situations.
