I've Always Been a Cinematographer, but I Don't Want to Work on Anything That's Not Positive
I don't want to work on anything that's not positive, you know what I mean? Yeah. In some way that it doesn't add to our understanding of ourselves or somehow add to society. You've got to feel that I'm there for some purpose and I'm adding to it. And I think the great ones always have that, which does come down to screenwriting most of the time. But definitely someone who knows why they're making a movie. The biggest lesson I've learned with the exception of enemy is that plot is so satisfying.
