The deck and traps ultimately ended up covering 0.58 million square miles, which is about half the size of India. The eruption rate probably contributed to climate change and cooling or dropping of temperatures of about two degrees Celsius or four degrees Fahrenheit. There's even one hypothesis where it's like the deck and traps were a benefit that sort of ameliorated the effects of the chicks-alube impact. All the camps still have good points to make at this point.
