The Importance of Having a Culture
The Bible has a culture that we have to interpret the own, our own audience. The whole world cannot hear an accent of the Californian accent. If I wore a t-shirt to preach to the English, well, I'm coming across as one of the people who are humble and self-righteous. But if I wore shirt and tie in the Chinese service, that shows a disrespect to the audience. And so it affects how we interpret things, how we apply things, and how people perceive us.
