You have to do the math on your business and find out exactly what kind of customer acquisition strategy actually works for you. Talking to Josh Pickford at Bearmetrics, David Houser, who grew grasshopper to $30 million a year in revenue, they both said the most valuable feedback they ever got was doing one-on-one calls with individual customers. Playing those conversations is crucial because it will influence the direction that you go in. But if you can't sell your product to somebody one-in-one, then you're probably not going to be able to sell it to a thousand strangers who visit your landing page.
