Nazism Is Not a Product of Europe, but a Unique Problem Which Would Pass in Time
The Nazis were seen by Europeans as an aberrant danger, which could be understood as an exception to European values. Cesar argues that this reflects a broader pseudo-humanism within European values. He says Europe has claimed to uphold human rights while restricting the meaning of what counts as human and engaging in cruel violence against the colonized world. In his view, Hitler is the inevitable by-product of this faux-humanism.
