We are destined to be more than just a single grain of wheat, which is a metaphor for our ego or narrow self. To fulfill our destiny, we must be willing to outgrow our ego. Resistance to dying to your small self is called Vanglori from Medieval Latin or Vanity. It tries to replace the bigger picture with a giant selfie.
