The trial began in september and lasted for almost four months. The key issue was not whether elizabeth holmes actually deceived people, but whether she knowingly deceived people. It went through painstaking detail and a lot of business and financial issues that are involved in the financing of companies. A jury concluded ultimately that at least in some cases, she actually lied.
