The Importance of Empathy

There's this tension that if you don't understand that people are the highest value, you're going to burn everything in your life. One of the greatest challenges of my life is I have this really, really high empathy and it's hard for me to leave people behind. And probably the greatest pain in my life and Kim's life has been all the people we invested so much in who eventually said, hey, we're out.
