The Importance of Empiricism in Plato's Argument
AJ: There are all kinds of reasons you can't do the thought experiment. Plato's still able to make this argument as to how the it's how the person should be constituted. But then but it's like through it's an analogy. It's a thought experiment via analogy kind of person is like the city. And then that's where we get into all that. So for the context of this discussion now is that a useful way to get to a system of ethics? I think it's too small for that. AJ: Is it a way of determining human culpability for action not taken? A little bit, yeah. Maybe not a full system or ethical system at all.
