What Knowledge Do You Need When?

When we're doing research, all we're doing is building knowledge to help smooth something out that the org is doing. There's this idea of thick data that Trisha Wang came up with, which is mixed methods trying to layer data together. So many times I'd say at least a third of the times, people have asked me for some knowledge, and I convinced them that's not the knowledge that they need after doing all this listening to them. You will get burned until you realize how important it is, or until you decide this is just not the career for you.
