Blake Oslers' expansion model of revelation is being like profound. I think it's trying to have your cake and eat it too, he says. The loose translation theory comes out of necessity because there are problems that you can't just say it didn't happen. Joseph Smith's bringing his own worldview into anachronism brings in sudden stuff; God was okay with that. But again, at that point, you're now indistinguishable from fraud by saying that Joseph Smith was a co-author of the Book of Mormon.
