The Different Types of Classes in the US

In the US, most people don't do this. They go to high school for four years and in high school, they have to take classes about a lot of different subjects. In English, the word vocation or vocational just refers to a specific type of job. So we have a lot of mandatory classes and we have some electives. And as I said, we have some harder classes, the AP classes,. And then we just have the normal general classes for each subject as well.
