The Importance of Independent Learning

I had a great luck to be growing up as a teenager during World War II when the whole system was screwed up. We had a great shortage of paper because at that time England was importing necessities of life, but there wasn't room in the ships to import paper. So without paper, you couldn't have examinations. There wasn't such a thing as an oral exam. And so examination stopped, and that was a great piece of luck.
