nutrition epi is a new type of clinical trial that aims to test whether or not people should eat less red meat. It was set up by Harvard University in the seventies and eighties as part of their health research programme. The study enrolled over 100,000 women who would then be updated every two to four years on all their vital stats. They were specifically selected for this because they knew how to answer questions such as 'do you have hyperetension? Or are you on any medications?' And it included medical doctors and dentists among others.
