How Does a Cokner Implant Sound?
When mike's implant was turned on, the first thing he did was listen to his own voice. And my voice sounded really weirdly high pitched. I almost sounded like youre hearingaing theimas kind of sound. It's not at all what i expected. Matthew actually gave me a programme he uses as an audiologist to simulate various types of cocliar implant sounds. So here's a general idea of what it might have sounded like to mike. Essentially, mike's brain was editing the world for him.
