i use your safety example synonymously with ethics, because the human being whose safety is in jeopardy, has moral or ethic or an understanding. So that's why i just think ethics is the wrong word. What what we're concerned about, i is the safety of the machine, so that the machine makes decisionswch which maximise human safety. There is an ethical consideration for the person who programms the rules into the car, that that's ethics.
