Rabbi Elliot Kucla published something called Six Terms for Gender and Diversity in Classical Jewish Text. In 2006, there's a PDF linked to that article in my article on Patheus about the Six Genders, according to the Talmud. A person who has identified his male at birth but develops female characteristics at puberty and is lacking a penis can be Saris Hamah or Saris Adap. These non-binary categories weren't considered exotic or disastrous with mid-rashim.
