The violinist Lila Josephovitz is a very special person. She has immense energy and that energy is combined with a wonderful sensitivity, lyricism. I could say this, it sounds a little indecent, but she's the perfect package for my kind of music. And not just the regular violin, but she plays a piece of mine called the Dharma at Big Sur, which is for electric violin. An instrument with six strings that can sound like a regular violin,. but also can sound like Jimi Hendrix rocking out.
