Is Free Verse Poetry?

Roxanne Jones: When you take the meter out of it, you are taking away the heart and soul of what the act of creating poetry is. She says free verse poems should be more than just words with arbitrary line breaks. "I love that our version of entertainment value on this podcast is you arguing that free verse poetry sucks," she says to her co-hosts. 'It's quite poetic,' they reply. "'The burning is on you to prove that free verse is poetry' That's a very, very good argument,'" he adds. ''And I'm open to what you're saying.'"
