I often think about before we had things like corrective lenses. There was just Carl in the tribe who just kept throwing the spear at the rock. And he's just like, I swear that was a mammoth. So my caveman story still holds up. You know, my great grandfather was an optician. Although the exact date is in dispute, it is generally agreed that the first pair of corrective eyeglasses were invented in Italy sometime between 1268 and 1300.
