How bad do you need the money? If your newsletters like hobby, and you're not going to waste my time doing this if it's anything less than x am out of dollars, then, by all means, die on that hill. Or in some cases, you could have a a kind of a rev share model set up where you talk to the partner, maybe it's ok, i'll do this ad and you'll give me, you know, a thousand dollars. However, if you get sales from it, i get ten % of each sale you get from from this advertisement. That could be a good compromise for the newsletter operator who's like, i really need this money,
