It's interesting to think about the experience of what that must have been like just intellectually of doing your PhD in such an isolated way. Do you feel like that time period of really contextualizing the work kind of influenced the way that you approach thinking about your work today? Many students who graduated last year, for instance, felt depressed as they did not do this good stuff anymore. There was a time when literally my post-socks perspective, Tapani Raiko and Alex and the real alien were on John Marcus themselves because the whole group was kind of imploding. So I'm very proud of it.
