Churdic - A Unique Name Among the Anglo-Saxons
Churdic is a unique name among the Anglo-Saxons. It doesn't appear to have any English counterparts and it doesn't really seem English at all. Maybe there wasn't even a Churdic, and he was just a construct to establish their legitimacy. We may never know for certain what was going on with this character but what we do know is that his name is rather strange.
