The social media environment makes you constantly feel, which of course kind of ties in to this total reductionism. The only effective opinions fit in 280 characters, obviously that's not enough to explore anything complex or nuanced. We start to think of everything as this kind of like fog of an eternal present from which anything can be grabbed and then judge in the context of now. And I think this sort of total loss of time is a really important aspect of how these platforms operate.
