Jennifer Donaldson-Dovitska: Children have extremely good memories and that they are quick learners. In many non-western traditions children who are four or five or six are learning really quite demanding music by ear from and expected to perform at a very high level. To keep any kind of liturgical tradition strong it's very important to educate young people in that tradition so that they can carry it on.
