"I like things to be stable. Whether or not from the inside out, that's what the perception is from the outside," she says. "There's a lot of safety in that structure and in those institutions ... But I'm also hearing that it's starting to be a little suffocating." She sees her moving toward doing legacy work; does she need to leave her job to do that? "[She] painted it as an either-or. Either I stay here and suffer in the golden handcuffs for another decade... Who wants to live in handcuffs?"
