Are You Leaving Communism Alone?

I think that american elites have always been inherently against communism before the second world war, because it threatened their power base. But i the one thing i could never understand is why were they so worried about it? It's not as though it's ever going to take hold in America and we hear people talking recently about abalme being a socialist. I understand whyt they're guarding against it, and the're guarded against it but this fear of communism, i've just never understood it. You now, it's not something that britain fears or canada fears or australia fears. It's only americans that have this singular obsession with communism.
