The First Five-Year Plan: A History of Agriculture

Deep battle was Tukachetsky's theory on how the more static fronts of the First World War could be avoided by taking a large army with large armor forces and strong air support. This was a lofty plan, and it also proved to be very hard to even make detailed planning for or to prove viable in war games. The overall goals for production of tanks in 1932 was not even close to being met. Next episode will focus on the agricultural aspects of the first five-year plan, primarily collectivization.
