In 1983, Margaret Thatcher was on the cusp of the election that came in June. She had gone to a very famous rally, a young conservative rally. And she went from there to record a party election broadcast. But they decided they were junk and needed someone else to write a new script. Who did they turn to? Brian Walden - who just hours earlier had interviewed her on ITV.
